Nazarin (1959) ***

It's quite unique among Luis Bunuel's works - a seemingly pro-religious film about the tribulations of saintly man. The first in Bunuel's "religious trilogy", followed by "Viridiana" (1961) and "Simon Of The Desert" (1965).
