The Party At Kitty And Stud's (1970) ***

Nobody heard of this obscure, low-budget softcore erotic film made in 1970... until 6 years later its male lead won an Oscar for a little boxing movie and became a huge Hollywood star. It was then released under the title "The Italian Stallion". An urban legend even claimed that the original cut of the film included hardcore pornography. The origin of that legend: some footage from “The Party At Kitty and Stud's” have been included in the German version of “White Fire”, a hardcore porn movie made in 1976. The German version of “White Fire” was retitled “Bocky”.

Film o powstancach slaskich.

Why Does Herr R. Run Amock ? (1970) **

Bourgeois boredom leading to murder - one of Fassbinder's earliest films.

Beneath The Planet Of The Apes (1970) **

A campy, but completely humorless sequel to the 1968 hit. An astronaut, sent to find Taylor (the hero of the first film) finds himself between a rock and a hard place (i.e. a fascist ape culture and a human society that worships a nuclear weapon). It's a bleak allegory about racial and Cold War conflicts of the late 60's, and a very pessimistic prognostic about the future of humanity.

Darling Lili (1970) ***

A World War I musical/aviation/spy/romance extravaganza, the kind that would later be satirized in "The Stunt Man" (1980). Musical numbers:
