Presenting a dark, decayed and distorted labyrinth-like world of paranoia and deceit, Welles has created a visual tour-de-force, closer in spirit to the surrealist and experimental films of the 40’s and 50’s than to his own illustrious oeuvre.

Very uneven film about politics in Washington. Starts slow, promises an exciting mystery, but doesn't deliver. It's a story of blackmails and McCartyist witchhunts. It's also extremely homophobic.

Routine horror movie about a university professor and his witchcraft-practising wife.
To Kill A Mockinbird (1962) **
Interesting film about life in a quiet Southern town, where a black man is accused of raping a white girl.
The Awful Dr Orloff (1962) *
One of Jess Franco's earliest film, clearly inspired by old Universal horror classics. Excellent black/white cinematography, beautiful women, competent directing, but none of Franco's infamous auteurist touches.
In Search Of The Castaways (1962) *
"20 000 Leagues Under The Sea" (1954) and "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" (1959) remain the only successful adaptations of Jules Verne's novels. This film (adapted from "Les Enfants du capitaine Grant"), as well as "Around The World In 80 Days" (1956) are both very mediocre.

Visually unimpressive (even ugly), but fascinating for its naturalistic dialogues and a chilling message. The cartoon was made at the time of the Cuban Missiles Crisis.

The Slick Chick (1962) ***
Foggie agrees to babysit a little terror of a boy, who torments him throughout the film, even sending the rooster into orbit in a baloon, then shooting it down and preparing a rough place to land.

Moderately amusing cartoon with Yosemite Sam as a fortune hunter marrying a rich widow and trying to get rid of her son.
Mother Was A Rooster (1962) **
The dog play a trick on Foggie by stealing an ostrich egg and planting it near the sleeping rooster. Foggie is very proud to be a mother, but cannot understand his son's compulsion to bury his head in the ground.
The Jet Cage (1962) **
Granny buys a "flying bird cage" to protect Tweety from Sylvester's claws. Repetitive gags.
Little Woody Riding Hood (1962) **
Gabby Gator plays Granma and Woody Woodpecker plays Little Red Riding Hood.
Mouse Into Space (1962) *
There are no cats in Outer Space, so Jerry decides to become an astronaut.
Tom And Jerry Cartoon Kit (1962) *
It starts well (in a self-reflexive kind of way), but it soon becomes repetitive and dull.

Daffy's bitchy wife foces him to sit on their egg, but the wimpy duck gets stuck with an alligator's egg instead. There are some nicely timed gags, but otherwise, it's a very mediocre cartoon.
