Me Myself I (2000) **

Directed by Pip Karmel. With Rachel Griffith, David Roberts, and Sandy Winton. This excellent Australian comedy/drama offers a neat variation on “Sliding Doors”: a “what if” scenario, where a professionally successful single woman discovers how her life would have turned out had she married the man of her dreams and gave birth to three bratty kids. Griffith (Toni Collette’s wheelchair-bound friend in "Muriel’s Wedding") gives an absolutely terrific performance as a brilliant writer suddenly coping with cooking, laundry, and other unpleasant household chores.
