An abandoned baby is rejected by all potential foster parents, who keep throwing it around like a hot potato. The cartoon is remarkable for its innovative use of sound effects.
Jeu de coudes (1979) ***
A comment on conformity, with a row of uniform characters pushing each other into water.
Bugs Bunny's Christmas Carol (1979) ***
A fine adaptation of the Dickens' novel, with Yosemite Sam as Scrooge, Bugs as his nephew, Porky Pig as Bob Cratchit and Tweety as Tiny Tim.
This Is Your Museum Speaking (1979) **
Inspired by a Muse, a museum guard imagines various artifacts coming to life.
La Rose et l'anneau (1979) **
A fairy tale about princes, castles, magic rings, etc. It uses silhouette animation technique. Co-directed by Lotte Reiniger.
Instant Sex (1979) **
A lonely man buys a can of instant sex. And then another, and another. Unfortunately, he forgets to read the warning label. The film was produced by Bob Godfrey.
Freeze Frame (1979) *
A Road Runner cartoon with Coyote trying to change the climate using a snow machine. His other gadgets include skates, skis, dog sleds and rocking horses. Very weak timing of gags.
