The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026) ***

Fine sequel to the 2026 hit. Not many surprises, but Meryl Streep is as fabulous as ever, Anne Hathaway is way better than in The Odyssey, Stanley Tucci steals every scene he is in and Emily Blunt lets us discover a completely different side of her character. The second act is a bit weak, but the film sticks the landing.

The Drama (2026) ***

Very complex, very nuanced and quite surprising film about a young couple facing a very unexpected crisis. It has been very accurately described as "a poker-faced satire of hypocritical self-righteousness among yuppie millennials".

Toy Story 5 (2026) ***

Excellent fifth instalment of the famous Pixar franchise that will strongly resonate with everyone worried about the effects of the social media on the young children and their social development.

Michael (2026) ***

Average musical biopic about Michael Jackson's rise to fame. The musical numbers are terrific, but Colman Domingo (as his father Joseph Jackson) gives a disappointing, one-dimensional performance.
