Best In Show (2000) **

Directed by Christopher Guest. With Christopher Guest, Parker Posey, Eugene Levy. A fairly amusing mockumentary, poking fun at the American culture in general and dog shows in particular. Unfortunately, since every single character is a certifiable weirdo, the movie lacks a “normal” reference point that would allow all this craziness to stand out in relief. And it doesn’t help that dogs shows are an awfully easy target for satire.
