Bless The Child (2000) **

Directed by Chuck Russell. With Kim Basinger, Jimmy Smits and Rufus Sewell. Quite a rarity - a deeply religious action/horror movie, which takes itself very seriously. It’s a story of a Christ-like little girl who can heal the sick and resurrect the dead. We actually see God’s angels fighting against the Devil and his cohorts. It might be the only action flick where praying nuns are the decisive factor during the final battle. It’s totally ridiculous, of course, but in a very entertaining way.
