Gossip (2000) **

Directed by Davis Guggenheim. With James Mardsen, Lena Headey and Eric Bogosian. Just like real gossip, this film is a guilty pleasure of sorts - perverse, but very entertaining. It’s all about three college students spreading a rumor about one of their friends. Seemingly innocent at first, the gossip gradually takes on a life of its own, leading to arrests and murders. The film’s only drawback is the conclusion - ridiculously contrived and very unimaginative.
