La Pêche aux poissons rouges (1895) *
A child is trying to catch a goldfish. This short film by Louis Lumière was the third motion picture ever shown to a paying audience, at Le Salon Indien du Grand Café in Paris on December 28, 1895, where the Lumière brothers hosted the very first public screening of their works. It is by far the least interesting of the 10 films that were shown that day.
