Chow Hound (1951) *****

A mean, nasty dog has a clever racket: a cute little kitty whom he sends to different houses to get juicy steaks. Another swindle has the dog collecting rewards for the supposedly missing kittie. This cartoon is a marvelously cynical masterpiece of black humor. It's also a superb example of Chuck Jones' ability to logically develop a simple premise and to fully explore its comic potential.
