My Fair Lady (1964) *****

One of the greatest screen musicals, adapted from one of the best stage musicals, itself based upon one of the finest theatrical plays of all time - George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion". It's the story of a Cockney flower girl (Audrey Hepburn) educated by an eccentric language professor (Rex Harrison in an absolutely superb, Oscar-winning performance). It has the most impressive musical score ever composed - every single song is a showstopper. Musical numbers:
