The Innocents (1961) **

Nothing is more difficult in cinema than to adapt a Henry James' novel. Many have tried, few have ever succeeded. This tale of supernatural possession is often consider as one the most successful attempts. But it still leaves much to be desired. It's far too enigmatic for its own good.
