Le Débarquement du congrès de photographie à Lyon (1895) ***
Photographers leave the deck of a riverboat. This short film by Louis Lumière was the fourth motion picture ever shown to a paying audience, at Le Salon Indien du Grand Café in Paris on December 28, 1895, where the Lumière brothers hosted the very first public screening of their works. However, it was first screened on the same day it was shot, June 12, 1895, in front of an audience of the same photographers who appear in it.
