The Hole (1962) ***

Two construction workers working in a deep hole in the ground discuss the possibility of nuclear war. Their conversation proves prophetic. Visually unimpressive (even ugly), but fascinating for its naturalistic dialogues and a chilling message. The cartoon was made at the time of the Cuban Missiles Crisis.
