Taxi 2 (2000) *

Directed by Gérard Krawczyk. With Sami Nacéri, Frédéric Diefenthal and Marion Cotillard. Just as bad as the first, though far more spectacular in terms of gadgets and action scenes. The story concerns a gang of ninja yakuza gangsters trying to kidnap a Japanese trade (or is it defense?) minister in France. It’s up to our friends Daniel the cabbie (Nacéri) and Emilien the cop (Diefenthal) to save the day. Car chases, explosions and stupid jokes galore.
