Excellent kung fu action scenes, but otherwise a routine and unexceptional sequel to the 2008 animation hit.

A “Shrek” spin-off starring a brave little kitty.

How To Train Your Dragon (2010) ***

Entertaining animated film about brave Vikings fighting fearsome dragons.

Shrek Forever After (2010) *

Less impressive than the previous installements; basically a cross between "It's A Wonderful Life" and "Xena The Warrior Princess", with Shrek finding out what would have happened if he was never born - his wife Fiona would become an ogre warrior leading other ogres against evil dictator Rumplestiltskin. The 3-D effects are better than in "Alice In Wonderland", but rarely used to maximum advantage. Clever one-liners are few and far between.

Kung Fu Panda (2008) **

Take a garden-variety kung-fu epic from Hong Kong. Made it an animated film. Cast a panda in a lead role. The result will be "Kung Fu Panda", a fairly entertaining, if rather unoriginal, cartoon feature from DreamWorks.
