An unusual love affair between a straight man (Rupert Graves) and a transexual woman (Steven Macintosh), who used to be best friends in an all-boys school. Winner of the Grand Prix at the Montreal festival, it's a touching, sometimes funny, always surprising little film.

Intimate Relations (1996) **

Sexual perversion in 1950's England. Very funny, but also extremely disturbing film.

They are constructed from personal stories told by twenty different people.

West Of Eden (1996) *

Yves Laferriere composes music for films. Daniel Langlois is a computer graphics designer. Together, they created this impressionistic film full of symbolic imagery.

A supposedly humorous, but actually quite boring parody of "Frankenstein".
