Homunculus (1916) ***

Homunculus is an artificially-created man who sets out into the world with a singular mission: to either discover love or destroy humanity. Sometimes, he finds a woman whom he tries to love, but often ends up driving her to kill herself, kills her family or is rejected and hunted as soon as the secret of his identity is revealed.
