The plot (bandit PegLeg Pete kidnapping Minnie and her boyfriend Mickey chasing him across a rugged landscape) would be repeated in countless Mickey Mouse shorts of the late 20's and the early 30's., but "Gallopin' Gaucho", the first in the series, is probably the finest.
