Impact (1949) **

A very interesting story (a wife wants to murder her husband, he survives the attempt and finds a place to hide, she goes on trial for his murder). Plenty of ingenious twists. However, the pacing is all wrong and there are many very predictable developments. An uneven film, interesting, but very flawed.
