The Counterfeit Cat (1949) ***

A hungry cat tries to catch a canary. He steals a dog's toupee to masquarade as a pooch and uses bones to distract the resident bulldog. Some repetitions and certain similarities with Friz Freleng's "Sylvester and Tweety" cartoons don't diminish the undeniable appeal of this hilarious film.
