In Her Defense (1999) *

Directed by Sidney J.Furie. With Marlee Matlin, Michael Dudikoff and Daniel Pilon. There are way too many boring cliches in this Canuck courtroom drama-slash-suspense thriller: a horny lawyer (Dudikoff), an abused woman (Matlin) wanting to get rid of her husband, an ambitious crown prosecutor (Pilon). Add to it a complicated, but very predictable plot, and you get another example of Canadian taxpayers wasting their money on a film nobody will ever want to see.
