The Kid (2000) *

Directed by Jon Turteltaub. With Bruce Willis, Spencer Breslin and Emily Mortimer. Willis plays a successful 40-year-old consultant who quite literally gets in touch with his inner child (Breslin). The film is mawkish and quite annoying, but the chubby little kid is quite delightful - he has a knack for imitating Willis’ trademark gestures. The movie was probably inspired by those insurance commercials (like "Freedom 55"), where people get to meet themselves when they’re happily retired.
