Lucky Numbers (2000) *

Set in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, it’s an ordinary comedy about a weatherman who tries to pay off his huge debts by cheating on state lotery. Kudrow is excellent (as always), but Roth is miscast, Travolta’s haircut is horrible and there is an aura of complete pointlessness hanging over the entire movie. Directed by Nora Ephron.
