Back Alley Oproar (1948) ****

Elmer tries to sleep at night, but alley cat Sylvester insists on perfecting his musical talent by singing endless arias from famous operas. A fast-paced, very inventive, colour remake of 1941's "Notes To You", a great improvement on the original. It ties with "Pigs In A Polka" (1943) as Friz Freleng's finest musical cartoon.
