Gorilla My Dreams (1948) ***

Shipwreck surviver Bugs is adrift in a barrel reading Esquire magazine, singing and eating a carrot. He lands on a tropical island inhabited by ferocious apes (reading "Apes of Wrath"), where he's mistaken for an ape toddler. Soon he gets in trouble with his new daddy, who chases him all over the jungle.
