Chicken Little (1943) *****

This Walt Disney's masterpiece was a brilliantly cynical and sarcastic comment on the naivety of democratic institutions and their lack of foresight in dealing with the threat of Nazi domination. A clever fox (superbly animated) wrecks havoc in a poultry farm, manipulating the public opinion, spreading lies, undermining the faith of the masses in their leaders and encouraging fools like Chicken Little to sow confusion and panic.
