Who Killed Who ? (1943) ***

An effective parody of murder mysteries, set in a spooky mansion, whose owner is murdered promptly at midnight. A fat police detective conducts an investigation, encountering ghosts, hostile witnesses, secret passages, white skeletons, red skeletons, even Santa Claus himself. Slower and more labored than most Tex Avery's comedies, but extremely well done.
