The Rabbit Of Seville (1950) *****

An outstanding musical cartoon with Bugs Bunny escaping from hunter Elmer Fudd and finding a refuge in Hollywood Bowl during the performance of Rossini's "The Barber Of Seville". While not nearly as spectacular as "What's Opera, Doc ?" (1957), it's certainly as funny a spoof of operatic conventions and a superbly timed, endlessly inventive and wonderfully entertaining cartoon classic in its own right.
