Naughty crooks (Ethel Merman among them) try to separate a naive schlemiel (Eddie Cantor) from his inherited fortune. The plot is annoying, but there are enough show-stopping songs to get over the rough stretches. The film improves a little in the second half, with nice comic bits involving a sheik and his daughter.
