Snow White (1933) *****

A mind-boggling musical extravaganza with an incredibly rich surrealist imagery. The "story" deals with Betty Boop, her evil stepmother and two henchmen (Koko and Bimbo) as they travel through a "Mystery Cave", full of weird characters, bizarre transformations and other supernatural events. Great soul tunes sung by Cab Calloway add yet another level of stylistic complexity to this outstanding, unforgettable example of surrealist cinema. An incredible masterwork.
