The China Shop (1934) *
Plates, pots, bowls, clocks and porcelaine figurines come to life at night, when the shop owner closes his business. Not very original, the film features two lovers threatened by a villain (already seen in "Flowers And Trees") and its narrative belongs to the "midnight-in-a-toyshop" format used in countless earlier Silly Symphonies. The ending has the owner raising prices on his damaged figurines by passing them off as rare antiques.
