Three scheming young ladies try to prevent their father's marriage to a gold digger. But instead of enlisting the help of a professional gigolo (Mischa Auer), they mistakenly use the services of a real aristocrat (Ray Milland). Deanna Durbin (in her film debut) plays the youngest (and smartest) girl. She also sings, beautifully. Songs:
