Popeye The Sailor Meets Sinbad The Sailor (1936) ****

Bluto plays Sindbad, a villain who lives on a rocky island full of two-headed monsters, giant snakes and other fearful beasts. When Popeye's ship appears on the horizon, Sindbad sends a giant condor to kidnapp Olive Oyl and the mumbling, spinach-eating sailor must come to her rescue. The climactic fight is predictable, but this 2-reel color featurette is among Max Fleischer's finest cartoons.
