Cat's Bah (1954) **

Pepe (a French lover living in Algeria) is looking for a "belle Americaine touriste femme skunk" ("you don't have to come with me to the Casbah, we are already here", he declares). Colorful backgrounds, but predictable gags. This is the fourth Pepe's epic, following French "Pepe le Moko" (1937) with Jean Gabin, its American remake "Algiers" (1938) with Charles Boyer and the musical adaptation "Casbah" (1948) with Tony Martin.
