Pigs Is Pigs (1954) *****
The finest Walt Disney cartoon of 1950's, directed by Jack Kinney with a remarkable feel for rhythm, timing and pace. The story concerns a bureaucratic railway station director who gets stuck with a pair of fast-breeding guinea pigs. The musical narration adds more sophistication to this merciless satire on human stubborness, stupidity and shortsightness. It's a fast paced, immensely enjoyable masterpiece with UPA-inspired backgrounds, limited animation and a quirky, wacky and off-beat sense of humor.
