L'Assedio dell'Alcazar (1940) ***

Italian film about the siege of Alcazar in Toledo during the Spanish Civil War in 1936. Impressive battle scenes, especially near the end. Winner of the Mussolini Cup for Best Italian Film at the Venice Film Festival.
